Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026. This policy explains what information The Back to Front Show (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website, and what we do with it.
The short version
This site is a podcast website. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run advertising, and we do not sell your data. Most of what is described below happens automatically when you load a page.
Information we collect
- Server logs. Our web host records technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, device, the page requested and the time. This is used to keep the site running, secure and fast.
- Emails you send us. If you email us from the Contact page, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you.
- Nothing else on this site itself. The site has no sign-up, no comment form and no newsletter form, so it does not collect names, addresses or payment details.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies on this site. WordPress may set functional cookies for people who log in to manage the site; ordinary visitors do not receive them. Third-party content described below may set its own cookies.
Third-party services
- SoundCloud. Episode pages embed the SoundCloud player so you can listen. When the player loads, SoundCloud may collect information such as your IP address and set cookies under its own privacy policy. Links to our SoundCloud profile also lead to SoundCloud’s site.
- X (Twitter). We link to our X profile. We do not embed X content, but following the link takes you to X, which has its own privacy policy.
- Hosting and caching. The site is hosted by Hostinger and uses a caching plugin to load pages faster. These providers process requests on our behalf.
Fonts and scripts used to display this site are served from our own server, not from Google or another outside network.
How we use information
We use the information above only to run and secure the website, to understand technical problems, and to answer messages you send us. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period under its own retention rules. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and are then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. To make a request, email us at the address below and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Children
This site is a general podcast site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
